Description

Regency dark-blue, almost-black painted tole wall lantern circa 1815-1820. Decorated in gilded detail. All sides are glass paneled. Three tole candle holders inside lantern. Not wired. Can be near-pair with lantern ref. 962A (see last image). Lanterns sold individually and priced $3,600 each.

  • Condition details: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses to painted finish. Mirror not original and some replaced glass. Not wired, but may be wired for electricity or fitted for usage with gas for an additional cost.
