Description

Neoclassical ebonized Swedish center or library table hand-carved in Second Empire, or Napoleon III style. Will also make an excellent writing table or desk. Original black painted finish, robust turned legs connected by shaped X-stretcher with upright center finial. Hand-carved and painted in the 1860s for an octagonal high domed hall at a Swedish estate. Two tables are available and sold individually, priced $5,800 each. Provenance is available upon purchase.

  • Condition details: Wear consistent with age and use. Some very minor losses to original ebonized finish. Sturdy, stable.
