Large Sculpture of Insect in Flight: This is a large cut-away model of a beetle (on the original base) used for anatomical instruction in a Czech classroom (circa 1950-1959). Model is completely hand-painted and features articulated arms, removable painted cloth wings, functional hinged sheathes, cut-away back and head and rubber internal organs. Measures H 26 in x W 42 in x D 22 in. (Ref. M0005)
