Description

Large four-door painted enfilade, circa 1850-1889, France. Large rustic French enfilade buffet painted in warm gray tones and a wooden top. Surface edges are smoothed and rounded from centuries of natural wear and use. Old iron ‘staples’ in panels of doors to prevent the common problem of panel splitting and separation. Sturdy, stable. Working locks and key.

  • Condition details: Wear consistent with age and use. Losses to painted finish. Outer layers of paint are not original.
