French Empire giltwood fauteuil armchair, circa 1815-1835, newly upholstered in grass-green velvet. Nice, large-scale proportions. Fine quality hand-carved detail. Acanthus and rosette decoration. Original gilt finish (in what appears to be both approximately 24K and 18K gold leaf) except for some good – but later – restoration to the handrests.
