Description
English butchers block table from a country house in Leicestershire. Constructed in the late 19th century with large, wide top made from one single solid piece of scrubbed pale sycamore, worn by a century of steady use to varying degrees of thickness. Top rests upon original splayed pine legs (joined by original pine stretchers) supported by later sledge feet. Base painted in recently refreshed brown paint. Height varies according to thickness of top: between 33.75-36 inches high and 34.25 inches high.
