Early French primitive oxblood-red painted cupboard built circa 1820-1839. Used in rural French mountain community. Retains remnants of original oxblood-red paint. Old screened paneled doors open to reveal three shelves of storage. Lower fourth storage shelf. May serve as bookcase, display shelves or – as originally intended – as a cupboard.
