Delft blue and white “Martini” tobacco jar circa 1840. Urn-shape jar with brass lid from the Netherlands. In faience with blue painted leaves encircling “Martini.” This Dutch tin-glazed jar was made to contain a variety of tobacco cultivated on the Caribbean island of Martinique.
